The abducted deputy speaker of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon Sama’ila Muhammed Bagudo, who was abducted on Friday, October 31, at his residence in Bagudo, has spoken from the den of his abductors.
In a voice clip circulating in some social media platforms in Birnin Kebbi the deputy speaker spoke about money realised in order to settle the abductors for his immediate release.
According to him, the sum of N140million has been realised and instructed one of his colleagues in the state Assembly to sale off his four vehicles in order to raise more money to meet the targeted ransom demanded by his abductors.
Unconfirmed report indicated that the abductors have demanded over N200million random for his release.
However when contacted close ally of the deputy speaker Malam Abubakar Bagudu said that he is not aware of the voice clif.
"We don’t even know where this clif came from and we are not even sure weather the voice contained in the clif directly came from the deputy speaker,” Bagudo said.
“We were surprised that the deputy speaker who is very close to us cannot talk to us before making such comment on clif concerning ransom,” he added.
Also, another unconfirmed report indicated that the deputy speaker is trying to raise the ransom demanded by his abductors for his possible release on Friday.
